HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

okie dokie folks! i'm back! its really great to be back! well i mean i just had a close brush with death?! yeah, the bombings in bangkok was just right behind my hotel. it was somewhere near the four-faced buddha. it was somewhere near the Burberry shop that i went to that morning. and i was like "ooh! that Burberry bag!" and then later at night, there came the blasting bomb that shook the grounds and almost deafen my ears. my dad thought it was mmm.. THUNDER!?!? well, i must really thank God that He brought us out of our hotel and to MBK Shopping Centre. cos my mum was really reluctant to go to MBK bcos traffic wld be terrible for us later when we come back. so we were actually shopping at Big C, thats just beside my hotel. thereafter, dad felt that we werent too happy shopping at Big C. anw, just wanna praise the Lord. He has really showered so much mercy and grace upon us. but i really feel so sorry for the organisers of the countdown party thingy. they were like rehearsing day and night for that fateful so-called "big night"?! and just a blast and the whole thing is cancelled. so much money and effort to round up 2006 and to welcome 2007 and these freaky terrorists have to mess this everything. i didnt dare to do anything that night. just lied in bed.whole thing up! it was really kind of scary cos NO taxis and 'tup tup' were willing to take us back to the hotel aft our shopping trip at MBK. a taxi just dumped us on the road. can u believe it?! dumb. and we paid a 'tup tup' like double-triple the price to fetch us to another hotel: Amari Watergate Hotel. bcos the way to our hotel was blocked off and the police only allowed ppl in BY FOOT. the whole street was filled with ppl walking in the opp direction from us. they were getting away from the bomb scene. and we were like walking towards it. NO CHOICE. i mean thats where our hotel is!? lots of rubbish and pools of mmm.. i dont know whether thats blood of water?! i just feel so disgusted! thats it! tons of police officers and tv crew and ambulance. tension rises and my legs just felt wobbly. even the Big C was cordoned off. its just so ironic that within hours, a bomb can change everything! i just lied in bed the whole night aft a bath and thats it! and the next day, the whole bangkok was back to normal again! i wonder how it works?! im still quite traumatised by the whole thing!! :(

ok, enough of the bombing stuff. i shall start from where i left Singapore now. woke up around 430am on the 29th. still abit gong-gong. didnt have enough sleep cos i stayed up till 12-1am to finish korean drama MY GIRL. of cos i wil, cos there's li joon ki and li dong wook! LI DONG WOOK!!! :) my current husband. as for SHIN and BOSCO, i shall gladly park them in a parking lot till i find dong wook rusty. haha :) anw, took a shower. BRRR it was freezing! didnt switch on the heater! my dad's friend sent us to the airport. reached changi airport at about 6am?. checked in and went in. GRRR. there's this automated clearance now! but the age limit is 15 yrs and above. GREAT. my parents and sis immediately went there. it was so much faster cos you DIY. but me? the young young 14 yrs old me had to wait. dumb. anw, i can do it nxt yr alr! so I'M NOT JEALOUS. i'm just waiting for my turn. anw went to have breakfast. but it was super duper expensive. day-light robbery ok! there and then, we boarded the gate and it was to BANGKOK! we arrived at the new bangkok airport. walked a very long way to the immigration area. thank goodness travellators were invented. :) the moment i switched on my handphone, i received tons of sms. replied those necessary ones and deleted those useless ones. collected the luggage and went out searching for the 'tour guide'. we are on free and easy but we hired a coach so they got us a 'tour guide'. *-mind this : (')!-* about an hour's drive or so frm the airport to the hotel. anw, the new bangkok airport is sth like the hongkong airport. made of glass and those wire wire stuff. but the air ventilation is abit poor and the glass abit blur. the escalators were abit messy but cool. first time seeing travellators like roller coaster!

aft reaching the hotel, we spent like almost an hour at the front desk. the hotel was running out of rooms and they had to accomodate everyone. so in the end, sis and i stayed on the 14th floor and mum and dad stayed on the 15th. but sis and i only got our room at 3pm plus. well anw, we went to opp: CentralWorld, for lunch. the shopping centre was super duper big, like Hongkong's Harbourfront! went to the top level and went searching for food. there's DUNKIN'S DONUT. so many donut shops there. MISTER DONUT, yeah i guess so and one more. but, surprisingly! there's NO thai food. so we settled for jap food. its so ironic. when i was in Japan, i was like so against Jap food everyday. but when i'm in Thai, i want jap food. well, partly bcos my dad was down with sore throat. TERRIBLE sore throat. he was almost reduced to NO voice! well, he actually was without any voice. its the first time he had it so dad was really upset over it. but anw, he cant blame anyone bcos i heard from mum that he took some chinese herbal medicine in the morning then he went for a roti prata meal with da-bo and liu-shu. so the medicine was actually NO use. wasted his $$, isnt it?! anw, aft lunch, we went to shop around. i forgot what i bought here. just knw that i bought much much lesser then that in HK. cos the clothes here are not so much to my liking. but i bought this very nice blouse, from Ten and Co. i also bought a shirt from Body Glove! shop and shop till 5pm plus then we went back to the hotel for a rest. i slept awhile and dad suggested going for Thai masage. we was about to reach the place when Uncle Sopo, dad's Thai client called and said he's going to take us out for dinner. he fetched us in his vintage Volvo! so cool! he's kind of charming, but a pity, he smokes and drinks too much. we had dinner at Somboon seafood restaurant. DELICIOUS!! :) uncle sopo drank the Chivas regal that dad bought for him. cool! the drink smell nice and looks nice but i'm sadly, underaged to drink! :( we had water! LOL. thereafter, we were sent back to the hotel and dad and uncle sopo went out for a drink! :) had a bath and brought out ALFRED from the luggage to accompany me to my dreamland! :)

next day, we got up super duper early bcos we booked a half day tour to the REAl floating market. it was about 2 hrs drive there. gosh! uncle sopo told us that 2hrs can take us to Laos. hired a boat and we went touring the floating market. so cool! but sadly didnt buy anything cos either the price was too expensive or mum didnt want to buy food cos she says they use the river water to wash/cook etc and the water was so dirty! anw, massive jam of boats! jam jam and jam. finally we got out of that place and went to this handcraft place. sis bought a photo album and we headed to Jaktujak market. had porkballs noodles there. YUM YUM. abit spicy though. but in the end we went back to the hotel cos my da yi ma arrived. gosh why am i so unlucky this year?! twice you knw?! i went to Jap, it came! i go bangkok now, it still comes! shoo! :( then we went to MBK to shop later that evening. had HK style cuisine at the basement. so-so la. then went to shop! SHOPPING SPREE. i bought a DKNY tank top and wanted to buy a bag actually. but they dont have a new one. and the one on display was abit worn out. so i didnt buy. bought a belt too! YAY! then we went back! again, took ALFRED out when its sleeping time! :)

third day was abit relaxing. went to the four-faced buddha. took some pics while dad and mum went to pray.obviously sis and i didnt pray! walked back to ZEN and bought like tons of pairs of levi's. so cool! bcos dad and us splitted, we wanted to bring him here to buy some levi's too. but we couldnt find each other. so in the end we met at isetan. bought like 10,000 baht worth of Levi's. went to have Jap food for lunch again! GREEN TEA ICECREAM!! YAY! i was so rejuvenated!! we then went back to the hotel to put down the stuffs. went to Big C to shop. but we couldnt buy anything so dad suggested going to MBK and the rest i said it in my first para.

the last day! we went to Big C to shop. this time we shopped more detailed and bought a few stuffs. like some wood keychain, a tank top and another blouse from Body Glove. wanted to buy my ballet pumps and a pair of slippers but couldnt find the RIGHT one. so we went back to the hotel to pack our stuffs. gosh! we arrived with empty bags and we had trouble stuffing all the things we bought into the luggage now! sis and i tried to stuff the snacks into the Levi's free bag! WE SUCCEEDED!! YAY!! checked out at 12pm and went to Big C again for lunch. had a delicious bowl of beef pork balls noodles. arrived back at the hotel at 130pm. waited for the coach. but at 140pm it wasnt here yet. so we went to ask around. and YES, the coach has alr left at 1pm! HOW GREAT. called the hotel staff to get us a taxi and we flew to the airport. checked in and when we were about to go in, the airport staff says we have to pay airport tax of 500 baht per pax. WOW. day light robbery again! went in and drank a glass of passion fruit with beetroot to cool down. it was so hot! walked a pretty far way to gate C9! sat down and breathe. then this family of 4 ang-mohs sat beside sis and i. dad and mum were so ks, they sat so near the gate like other typical ppl. the 2 ang-moh guys were so handsome and charming. sis and i were like so mesmerised by their charm! :) ok, im not gonna eat them up. but they dress so unlike those typical ang-moh kids. NO jeans and un-tucked shirts that go flying around. NO necklaces and sneakers. they wore long sleeve shirt that are properly rolled up to the elow. they wore shorts from santa barbara with a belt and the shirt were tucked in properly. they carried i think is MULBERRY bags. and are so si-wen. oh gosh! so cool! anw, boarded the plane and agaiN! the plane's cargo met with some prob. so they had to unload the cargo and delay my time again! anw, on the trip back, sis and i had window seats and mum and dad had the middle seats. they had 64 and we had 68! so cool! so much freedom!! :) had chicken curry rice for dinner! heard from mum and dad that the prawn with fried rice was not nice. thankfully, cos sis and i actually wanted prawn with fried rice but it ran out! :) muahaha. reached changi airport and there goes the automated clearance again. GREAT! dad bought bottles of Chivas regal and mum bought some facewash from estee lauder for sis and i. we collected our bags and hailed a Mercs cab back. went to charge my handphone asap cos my batt went flat and couldnt reply my sms. went out for supper at thomson road. then it was home sweet home and sweet dreams with ALFRED.

today i squandered the whole day doing nothing?! so wasted. just REST today b4 sch starts tm. then i'll have to give my best again! i'll upload the pics another time!
